Terms of transport

The terms of transport can be agreed and defined, as a result, as many of the necessary conditions in a negotiation between the parties.
Below we listed the “acronyms” official defining the conditions for international freight.

EXW (Ex Works)
Ex Works Constrain the seller simply to prepare the goods at his premises (factory, warehouse, etc..) On the agreed date, catering solely to the provision of appropriate documentation for export from the country of origin.

CFR (Cost and Freight)
In use in transportation by ship, which establishes the responsibility of the seller are all costs of transportation to a destination, including any charges for unloading the ship, as well as the costs of obtaining licenses and documentation for export from the country of origin and those for export customs operations ever. Paid by the buyer are the insurance costs and the seller has the obligation to promptly notify all the data necessary for the execution of the policy against the risks. From the moment the goods are unloaded at the port of arrival for all other expenses shall be payable by the buyer, including the cost of customs in the country of arrival.

CIF (Cost, Insurance and Freight)

CIP (Carriage and Insurance Paid to)
Carriage and Insurance paid to … Paid by the buyer all costs of transportation to a point of arrival specified, as well as the costs of obtaining licenses and documentation for export from the country of origin and those for customs operations always export. The costs to be incurred for the crossing of other nations to the point of arrival are charged to the consignor. From the moment the goods have arrived at the point of arrival agreed all other expenses are to be charged to the buyer, including the cost of customs in the country of arrival.

CPT (Carriage Paid To)
Borne by the seller are all costs of transportation to a point of arrival specified, as well as the costs of obtaining licenses and documentation for export from the country of origin and those for export customs operations ever. From the moment the goods have arrived at the point of arrival agreed all other expenses are to be charged to the buyer, including the cost of customs in the country of arrival.

DDP (Delivered Duty Paid)
Delivered Duty Paid Paid by the seller are all costs of transportation to an agreed destination, as well as the costs of obtaining licenses and documentation for export from the country of origin and those for export customs operations ever. The costs to be incurred for the crossing of other nations to destination shall be borne by the consignor and customs operations in the country of arrival, including the settlement of all charges levied on the goods in the nation’s destiny. It is generally agreed that the clause in the Value Added Tax (VAT) is charged to the buyer while the rate and any other fees are paid by the seller.

FOB (Free On Board)
for maritime transport
Are charged to the seller all shipping charges, including any costs borne by the middle, and the costs for licenses, documentations and customs export from the country of origin.

FCA (Free Carrier)
Franco Freight Forwarder – By rail, road, air are borne by the seller all shipping charges, including any costs borne by the middle, and the costs for licenses, documentations and customs export from the country of origin.

FAS (Free Alongside Ship)
Landed in the harbor – Borne by the seller are all costs of transportation to the port of shipment, plus the cost of obtaining licenses and documentation for export from the country of origin and those for export customs operations always ; Free On Board with respect to the yield remain excluded any costs for putting on board the ship.

DAP (Delivered At Place)
(In Italian: made it to the place of destination and indicating the place of destination), which is used in, is one of the clauses in use in international trade, those encoded nell’Incoterms to the date of the version of 2010 and which are used to decide the rights and duties of each of the parties involved, as well as defining the division of the costs of transport, insurance and customs between seller and buyer.

DAT (Delivered At Terminal)
(Made it to the terminal and the terminal indicating the defendant in the port or place of destination), is one of the clauses in use in international trade, those encoded nell’Incoterms to the date of the version of 2010 and which are used to decide the rights and duties of each of the parties involved, as well as defining the division of the costs of transport, insurance and customs between seller and buyer.
